The Tour
The event begins with the opening of the Exhibition Gallery in Fairview on Saturday, October 13. The gallery location is yet to be announced and will be open daily 11 am to 5 pm, October 13 through the 21st. Samples of each artist’s work will be on display October 15 through the 23rd. Friday evening, October 19, at 6 pm there will be a gala opening at the Exbibition Gallery to meet the artists and mingle with other art enthusiasts as they sample hors d’oeuvres and sip on local vintage wine. The silent auction will continue until the oral auction starts. Guests will bid on their favorite leaf-themed art pieces and cast their votes for the “people’s choice” award. They will also note their favorite pieces of art, the location of the respective artist’s studio on the tour map and plan routes to tour those studios on Saturday and Sunday, October 20-21. Artists’ studios will be open 11am-5pm daily both Saturday and Sunday. Each guest will receive a passport which will be validated at each artist’s studio. Passports will be left with the last studio toured or at the Exhibition Gallery. Passports will be entered into a drawing for special prizes. The more studios visited, the better the chance of winning. The Exhibition Gallery closes Sunday, October 21, at 5 pm with a cast party at 6 pm featuring the artists. The “People’s Choice” award and “Passport” prizes will be presented at this time. Greet the artists one last time as we celebrate and share our adventures.
Leaf-Themed Auction
To raise money for subsequent studio tours, each participating artist has created and donated a leaf-themed piece of art. The pieces will be displayed at the Exhibition Gallery all week and final bids will be accepted at the oral auction during the gala event the evening of October 19.
Buying Art
Guests are invited to purchase any displayed artwork at the gallery. We ask that art pieces purchased be taken at that time. Art is also sold directly to guests at the individual artists’ studios.
Please join us as we showcase the creations of our gifted artists in one of nature’s most spectacular settings!
